Collaborator

YOU, my friend, are a Collaborator.

People give you energy. Whether you’re bouncing  ideas off a friend, talking out the next chapter, or problem-solving a snag, what you need most throughout the creative process is a team, or at least a partner. Sometimes the quieter parts of creative thinking are a challenge, so you need strategies for inviting others into your process at each stage of the game, and also for how to handle those challenging days when no one is easily at hand.

So, how can you play to your strengths?

I created a cheat sheet just for Collaborators with three strategies that will help you make the most of your work with others. Your Collaborator Cheat Sheet also includes block-busting tips and a peek into tricks you might steal (well, okay … borrow) from the other styles when you feel like trying on a different hat.

Snag your Collaborator Cheat Sheet below.

Hold on, though, before you go. A couple things…

If you’re scowling at your computer, wondering how in the world I pegged you so wrong, let’s try again. Quizzes aren’t perfect, and in particular, creativity can be difficult to nail down. There’s only one you, and chances are high you won’t fit into any one box perfectly. You can take the quiz again, or check out the other styles here. You might even find that you’re a Chameleon, a creativity superhero with the power to switch from style to style as the situation requires.

AND, if this is your first time at the Writerly Play blog, welcome! Wondering who I am? I’m an author and a lifelong student of creativity, on a mission to rattle stubborn blocks loose because the world needs your powerful voice. Whether you’re a writer, an artist, or someone who says creativity is for other people … you have something meaningful to put out into the world.

What I want to know is:

What will YOU create next?
